About me and my practice
I am an Integrative trained BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) Accredited and Registered Counsellor / Psychotherapist and Supervisor with over 20 years experience in supporting clients from diverse backgrounds, providing short and long term therapy on a very wide range of issues.
I work relationally, with warmth and compassion and I utilise a range of approaches in helping people because I know that people are unique, and there is rarely a one size fits all solution. At the same time, Counselling can sometimes offer concrete and specific ways to approach problems such as low self-esteem, worry, anxiety and depression. I may therefore at times offer suggestions and information, and in this Im informed by an up-to-date understanding of how certain problems occur and perpetuate.
Experience
With over 20 Years' experience I have worked in private practice for over a decade. previously as therapist within the addictions field, and for over ten years within a University counselling service as Counsellor and Mental Health Advisor.
Qualifications
Diploma in Professional Integrative Counselling, BACP
accredited course, Kingston College, 2002.
Postgraduate Certificate in Counsellor Supervision
(Distinction). York St John University, 2016
Diploma in Hypnotherapy Academy of Advanced Changework

I have considerable experience of working online with clients, and I know that working virtually can be just as effective as face to face sessions.

Initial Consultation
Following an initial brief telephone conversation I offer a stand-alone meeting for you to get a feel of what its like to work with me, and for me to assess if I can potentially assist you. If I think I can help, you may choose to arrange further sessions, or take time to reflect on if you would like to do this.
Fees
£60 per 60 minute session. Also offer lower cost sessions subject to availability.
